WHEEL MANUFACTURING
Forged Wheels Production - KEY STEPS
Material selection
We are using high-quality materials for forged wheels production namely 6061-T6 aluminum alloy and magnesium alloy. Wheel moulds are designed based on the wheel’s specifications to ensure accurate shaping and perfect fitment . 6061-T6 aluminum is known for its excellent mechanical properties and corrosion resistance, making it ideal for high-performance wheels.
Forging and Heat Treatment
The preparation of the aluminum happens in multiple stages. The alloy is heated and forged using a high-pressure forging press, typically with a pressure range of 8,000 to 15,000 tons. This process shapes the wheel and its design and increases the structural density and strength. After forging, the wheels undergo heat treatment, including quenching and tempering, to enhance hardness, durability and relieve internal stresses.
Precision Machining
The wheels are precisely machined undergoing several production stages to achieve exact dimensions and a smooth surface finish. This includes:
- Rough Machining: Removing the outer layer of the forged wheel blank to prepare for finer processes.
- Milling: Creating bright surfaces by removing a thin layer of material to achieve the desired surface finish.
- Finishing: Performing fine machining operations such as drilling holes for wheel bolts and detailed milling to ensure high precision and accuracy.
