ABT Sportsline has made headlines again with its latest upgrades for the updated Audi Q8 lineup, including exciting new features for the powerful 2024 Audi SQ8. Known for tuning models like the RS Q8 with special S and Signature Editions, ABT is now offering fresh updates for the mid-cycle refresh of the SQ8.
2024 Audi SQ8 Gets a Big Power Boost
The 2024 Audi SQ8 has a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine. It delivers 500 hp (507 ps/373 kW) and 568 lb-ft (770 Nm) of torque from the factory, which is already strong performance for a sporty SUV.
But with ABT Sportsline's Power S upgrade, the engine output jumps to 641 hp (650 ps/478 kW) and 627 lb-ft (850 Nm) of torque. That's more power than the RS Q8 Performance version, which produces 632 hp (641 ps/471 kW). Both versions have the same torque.
Is It Faster Than the RS Q8 Performance?
The RS Q8 Performance can go from 0 to 62 mph (0–100 kph) in just 3.6 seconds and reaches a top speed of 174 mph (280 kph). The regular SQ8 does 0–62 mph in about 4.1 seconds and tops at 155 mph (250 kph).
With ABT's tune, the 2024 SQ8 likely matches or even beats the RS Q8 Performance in speed. ABT hasn't shared official numbers yet, but it's safe to say the SQ8 is now a serious rival to its RS sibling.
Stylish Body Kit Adds Aggressive Look
ABT didn't stop with just a power upgrade. The tuner also added a bold body kit to the facelifted SQ8. The new parts include:
- A front spoiler
- Fender add-ons
- A rear skirt insert
- A rear spoiler
Four large tailpipes give the SUV a meaner look and a deeper exhaust note.
To complete the new design, ABT offers 22-inch or 23-inch wheels. These wheels enhance the style and help the SQ8 stand out from the standard version.
Interior Upgrades with ABT Touch
Inside, ABT Sportsline added sleek and sporty interior pieces. Some highlights include:
- A carbon fiber-look shift knob
- Carbon fiber seat frames
- A carbon dashboard trim
- An illuminated push-start button
- Custom backlit entry sills with ABT's logo
These touches give the cabin a more premium and personalized feel.
