It's been over two months since we last heard from Carlex Design. But now, the Polish tuning company is back with another stylish project. This one is part of its Vintage Class series and is based on the 2025 Mercedes-Benz G-Class.
Retro-Inspired Design for the Iconic G-Wagen
This version of the G-Class is a genuine automotive gem. Fans of the Mercedes G-Wagen will likely love this retro-style makeover. It mixes the best of the past with today's comfort and modern features.
Chrome Details and Classic Styling on the Outside
On the outside, the Carlex Vintage Mercedes G-Class gets shiny chrome bumpers at the front and back. The hood has a classic Mercedes logo, and the front grille is new and shows off the Carlex emblem.
The side mirror caps, windshield wipers, and window edges have been given more chrome touches. These small details make the SUV look like a classic Mercedes from decades ago.
Wider Stance and Retro Wheels
Carlex Design added carbon fiber fender flares to make the G-Class stand out even more, giving it a broader and more powerful look. It also features Carlex Vintage badges and rides on retro-style forged wheels with custom wheel caps.
The tires have a white stripe, bringing back the style of older luxury cars. The rear spare wheel holder is custom-designed to match the vintage vibe.
Bigger Dimensions, Luxurious Interior
The Carlex-tuned G-Class is almost 4 inches (10 cm) wider and taller than the factory version, but absolute luxury starts inside.
The cabin has been fully reupholstered, which is one of Carlex Design's signature upgrades. You'll find:
- Hand-woven perforated leather
- Embossed Carlex logos on the door sills
- Special embroidery
- Alcantara headliner
- Two-tone Nappa leather upholstery
- Hand-stitched detailing
"Sabbia" Theme Inspired by Sand and Vanilla
This build is called Sabbia, which means "sand" in Italian. The name reflects its soft, sandy, beige interior and exterior tones. Carlex says it also took inspiration from vanilla shades.
Even the trunk area got an upgrade. It's lined with walnut wood and features white grout. The plastic trim also has custom stitching.
Despite being taller, the G-Class is still easy to get in and out of. That's because it has electric retractable side steps that lower automatically.
Available for Multiple G-Class Models
The Vintage upgrade package can be added to several models. These include:
- Mercedes-AMG G 63
- Mercedes-Benz G 500 (known as G 550 in some markets)
- Diesel variants of the G-Class
Good news: You don't need the 2025 facelifted model to enjoy these features. Older versions of the G-Class can also get the same upgrades.
Customization Available, But No Engine Mods
If you want more personal customization, Carlex Design is happy to help. However, they do not offer engine upgrades or mechanical changes, so if you're hoping for a power boost, this isn't the place.
Still, with all these stylish updates, do you like the Carlex Vintage Mercedes G-Class as much as we do?
